Nowadays everyone is very familiar with the word Root canal treatment which is also called RCT. When someone heard that they require a Root canal treatment the first thought will come in mind is that, multiple long sitting appointments with lots of pain, but With continued research and newer technology multiple visits endodontic shift to single sitting root canal. Single-visit endodontics has gained acceptance due to short appointments and good success rate. Historically the concept of single-sitting RCT is 100 years old. Success of RCT depends on proper cleaning and shaping of root canal, disinfection and three-dimensional filling of canal system. Not all cases is suitable for single-sitting root canal, according to the Indian Academy of endodontics.
